The Akron Brass Style 4450 Aquastream Master Stream Nozzle is a fixed gallonage nozzle purpose-built for heavy-duty fire suppression on fixed monitor installations. It is the preferred choice for mining operations, industrial facilities, and infrastructure protection where a permanently mounted, high-volume water stream is required.

Constructed from rugged, corrosion-resistant brass and finished with fixed stream-shaping teeth, the Aquastream delivers consistent straight-stream performance with manual pattern control, allowing operators to adjust the water pattern without tools. A grease fitting supports ongoing maintenance in harsh site conditions, while field-changeable spacers allow the nozzle’s flow rate to be adjusted without removal from the monitor — a practical advantage in remote or time-sensitive operational environments.

The Style 4450 is FM Approved, confirming it meets Factory Mutual’s rigorous standards for fire protection equipment. This certification is commonly required by insurers and site safety plans in Australian mining and industrial operations.

Flow Rates

The 4450 Aquastream delivers a nominal flow of 1,900 lpm (500 GPM) at 690 kPa (100 psi), with field-selectable rates of 1,140 lpm (300 GPM) and 2,650 lpm (700 GPM) achieved via the included changeable spacers.

Compatibility

The 2½” (65 mm) inlet is compatible with standard fixed monitor outlets. The Aquastream pairs directly with Akron Brass Omega series monitors — including the Omega XP, Omega XPV, and Omega SD.
