Description
Our superior quality AFFF/AR foam solutions provide rapid fire extinguishment and excellent burn back resistance. We have a range of products in this category, used mainly to repond to polar solvent and hydrocarbon fuel fires.
Newtonian:
These foams offer a safer and more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional Aqueous Film-Forming Foams (AFFFs) used in firefighting. They are free of harmful chemicals like fluorosurfactants, fluoropolymers, and silicone.
Key features:
- Excellent for non-water-mixing fuels: Perfect for tackling oil, diesel, gasoline, and even solid material fires. (Not ideal for fires involving alcohol or other water-mixing liquids)
- Different approach: Instead of forming a film, they smother the fire with a foam blanket, controlling the flames quickly.
- Works with various water sources: Use with fresh, brackish, or even seawater, though fresh water yields the best performance.
- Lower environmental impact: Their eco-friendly composition makes them a responsible choice for protecting the environment.
- Low viscosity – better mixing properties and stores better, avoiding gellification
Overall, Newtonian Fluorine-Free Foams offer a powerful and responsible option for fighting fires while minimising environmental impact.

Pseudoplastic:
Imagine adding a special ingredient to regular firefighting foam (AFFF) that acts like a thickening agent, but only when it flows quickly. This special ingredient, called a pseudoplastic polymer, helps the foam turn into a gel-like barrier when it touches flammable liquids like gasoline. This gel layer blocks the fuel from evaporating and feeding the fire, similar to a firefighter smothering the flames with a blanket.
While this gel may not spread as smoothly as regular AFFF foam, it has two key benefits:
- Better Drainage: The polymer allows excess water to drain more quickly, keeping the foam lighter and easier to apply. This is important because heavy foam can hinder firefighters and potentially damage surfaces.
- Reduced Evaporation: As the foam passes through the heat, the polymer helps it resist evaporation, allowing more foam to reach the fire itself. This means less foam is wasted, and the fire gets extinguished faster.
It’s important to note that this advanced foam uses C6 technology instead of harmful PFOS chemicals, making it a safer and more environmentally friendly option.
