The VLITEX E-Bike Battery Box PLUS is a fire-resistant box for storing, transporting and charging removable lithium-ion e-bike batteries up to 900Wh. Its 10mm multi-layer walls of E-glass fibre and silicone are designed to slow heat transfer and help contain a battery fire. The bag is lighter and more portable and was tested with a 400Wh battery. The box suits larger batteries up to about 900Wh and was tested with a 950Wh battery. Both are fire-resistant containment products, not extinguishers. See the comparison above.
No. It’s designed to contain flames and heat, reduce smoke and support temperature control outside the bag, minimising the risk of the fire spreading. A battery can continue to burn inside.
