How the SMZ 16 Works
The Sonmez SMZ 16 uses a multi-chamber inflatable design to create a controlled landing area during emergency rescue operations.
When a person lands on the cushion, the structure temporarily deforms to help absorb impact forces. An automatic air-blocking system activates during impact, closing the opening to the lower chamber and helping manage the kinetic energy generated by the landing. This assists in reducing rebound while supporting rapid recovery between rescue cycles.
Following use, the cushion automatically returns to its operational shape and can be quickly prepared for the next rescue operation.
