Description

FLIR K85-N NFPA 1930:2025-Certified Thermal Imaging Camera for Firefighting

The FLIR K85-N is a next-generation firefighting thermal imaging camera (TIC) certified to NFPA 1930:2025 — the latest and most demanding standard for structural firefighting TICs. Engineered to deliver clearer situational awareness in smoke-filled, high-heat environments, the K85-N combines 640 × 480 thermal resolution with enhanced contrast, a single-range imaging solution, and seamless connectivity with the FLIR Responder App.

Fire Response is an authorised Australian distributor of FLIR firefighting cameras. Contact us for pricing and availability.

FLIR K85-N Features:
  • NFPA 1930:2025 Certified: The K85-N is fully certified to the latest NFPA 1930:2025 standard, ensuring compliance for departments requiring the most current TIC performance and safety benchmarks.
  • 640 × 480 Thermal Resolution: A 640 × 480 focal plane array with 12 µm pixel pitch delivers sharp, detailed thermal imagery – critical for identifying hazards, locating victims, and reading fire behaviour in low-visibility conditions.
  • Single-Range Imaging -No Switching Required: The K85-N operates across a single temperature range of –20°C to 650°C, eliminating the interruptions and disorientation caused by dual-range switching. Crews maintain continuous situational awareness throughout.
  • Purpose-Built Firefighting Modes: Five imaging modes – TI Basic, Search, Detection, High Heat, and White Hot – allow firefighters to adapt quickly to changing conditions on the fireground without complex adjustments.
  • 4″ High-Clarity Display with 2× Zoom: A 4″ backlit 640 × 480 LCD running at 60 Hz provides a crisp, readable image in all conditions. 2× digital zoom supports detailed assessment at a distance.
  • FLIR Responder App Integration: Connect wirelessly to the FLIR Responder App for camera setup at the station, live wireless streaming during operations, and faster media handling, reporting, and post-incident review.
  • Built for the Fireground: Rated IP67 and tested to 2 m drop resistance, the K85-N is designed for the demands of structural firefighting. Operating range extends to 260°C ambient for 5 minutes and 150°C for 15 minutes.
  • Up to 4-Hour Battery Life: Two included Li-Ion batteries and a desktop 2-bay charger support extended operations. An optional in-truck charger keeps the camera mission-ready between calls.
