E-Bike Fire Blanket - Lithium-Ion Battery Safety
E-bike batteries can present a significant fire risk, particularly while charging or if the battery has been damaged. The E-Bike Fire Blanket provides a simple and effective way to help reduce that risk – either by covering a parked, charging bike as a precautionary measure or by deploying the blanket over an e-bike if a battery fire occurs.
Once in place, the blanket helps contain flames, heat, sparks and debris, reducing the likelihood of fire spreading to nearby vehicles, buildings or stored materials. Designed specifically for e-bikes, it is suitable for both removable and integrated battery systems commonly found on modern electric bicycles.
How it works
- Position the bike in a suitable location where possible.
- Fully cover the bike with the blanket, ensuring it reaches the ground on all sides.
- In the event of a fire, leave the blanket in place, call Emergency Services, and do not attempt to remove it until the incident has been assessed and there is no further risk of reignition.

Reuse and Disposal
